Protect your brand with Domino Digital Printing Solutions

Founded in 1978, Domino has established a global reputation for the continual development and manufacture of its total coding and printing technologies that meet the needs of manufacturers and sets new industry standards in quality and reliability.

Through a global network of 25 subsidiary offices and in excess of 200 distributors, the Domino Group operates in over 120 countries employing over 2,700 people worldwide with manufacturing facilities situated in UK, China, Germany, India, Sweden and USA. On 11 June 2015, Domino became an autonomous division of Brother Industries Limited. Brother Industries Limited is a public company based in Nagoya Japan and is listed on the Japanese Stock Exchange (6448:Tokyo).

Domino has been providing solutions to the security printing market for many years and has partnered with many key OEMs and integrators within this market sector.

Whether you need to track and reconcile documents, materials or products or are looking for a way to ensure you can provide anti-counterfeit or parallel trade measures for packaging, then Domino has a wide range of Digital Printing technologies and solutions to enable these types of security features to be effortlessly applied to your products.

Our digital products can print from simple alpha numeric codes and sequential numbering to a wide range of industry standard machine-readable codes that require high resolution printing at speeds of up to 200m/min. A range of aqueous, solvent, UV-curable and specialist inks are available including monochrome, UV-readable and taggant based inks to meet the ever-growing security requirements.

Domino also has the capability to control and handle industry standard data file formats and a range of data management functions used in this industrial sector. This includes print confirmation, reconciliation, vision inspection, matching and verification capabilities. Domino also has the functionality for supporting PDF workflow formats, as well as IPDS data streaming, which is available for more demanding data requirements.

A unique solution for brand protection, traceability and product embellishment, which can provide an enhanced security and anti-counterfeiting measure in several niche applications. The technology combines the ‘printing’ of variable content onto customer specific holographic foils providing increased complexity and heightened security, that is extremely difficult to replicate.

The Domino K600i high resolution ink jet printer technology can print variable text, security marks and graphics at up to 75m/min with virtually no ‘make ready’ or special tools, no plates or dies and is a low maintenance solution. The digital cold foiling is an efficient way of producing short run production with reduced lead times.

A versatile, high speed and scalable system for overprinting fully personalised, variable and secure data. This is ideal for security fiscal stamps, event tickets, game and phone cards, pharma and light-carton packaging. The Domino K600i solution can print real time or variable data, codes or graphics at high quality of 600dpi at speeds of up to 120m/min.

The solution is available with both UV-curable or aqueous inks and can be configured with print widths from 108mm to 782mm.

Developed for the security market, Domino has recently introduced a clear security ink that fluoresces green under UV light. The solution is ideally suited to printing secure and covert 2D codes, barcodes, alpha numeric codes, images and graphics with the ability for Variable Data Printing (VDP). The combination of VDP and fluorescence provides an excellent complexity rating which would be extremely difficult to replicate. It is ideal to use to add security features to currency, tax stamps, passports etc to help to prevent forgery. It can also be used on labels and packaging for traceability, to safeguard against counterfeiting and to prevent parallel trade.

The technology is easily integrated into existing web-fed presses, standalone roll-to-roll solutions or finishing lines and gives added security features with no impact on production uptime.
