For its 50 anniversary fundraiser, the organization used a one by one grant to purchase custom paddles for auction participants. For more than 30 years, the Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (CASA) program has trained volunteers on how to build relationships with abused and neglected children and become stronger advocates for the them in court. For nearly 25 years, the Appleton Education Foundation has been awarding grants for creative teaching and learning opportunities that aren’t normally funded through public resources. When it came time to plan its 2020 golf outing fundraiser, they wanted to ensure that every participant would remain safe. They used their grant to equip every golf cart, food station and registration table with hand sanitizer.
